BONIFACE NYAKUNU

Boniface was born in 1972 in Mutare and is one of seven children. He started his primary education at St Andrews Mission and went on to complete his secondary education at Mweya Mutsvene High Mission.

Soon after finishing school he arrived in Harare where he met and studied under the late Phineas Kamangira. It was Phineas who taught Boniface and gave him the love of the work that he now carries with him. Boniface worked under and with Phineas for six years.

After working with Phineas for the six years, Boniface joined forces with Peter Mandala. It was whilst working with Peter that Boniface began the creation of his own ideas.

Boniface now works on his own but as of yet has not exhibited anywhere outside of Zimbabwe. This will change in July 2007 as some of his work is now in South Africa and will be displayed along the Kwazulu Natal South Coast
